Designing for car washes and oil change locations started out as a niche development, but it has naturally grown into a significant part of our business. We take the utmost care in designing these projects to ensure they can withstand severe weather and, of course, a lot of water.
From massive warehouses to trucking depots, our work in the Commercial and Industrial fields underscores the importance of designing structures built for logistical expertise to flourish. We partner with our clients to meet the specific needs for each project and more.
Retail and hospitality go hand-in-hand, so our experience in the restaurant industry was an easy extension of our early work as a firm. We specialize in yielding consistency in chain operations throughout a geographic footprint.
We grew up in the Retail industry as our preeminent area of expertise and have experience designing anything from single tenant buildings to large regional shopping centers and everything in between. Our retail work has taken us all over the country, to 30 states and counting.
Some of our favorite projects involve a Tenant Upfit or Renovation because of the creativity the project always demands. For example, we transformed an abandoned restaurant into a modern Starbucks location in the heart of bustling Woodruff Road in Greenville, SC.
From veterinary hospitals to trampoline parks, we specialize in designing for Niche Developments that fit into no particular category. We approach each concept with curiosity and intentionality, addressing the unique needs of each with our expertise.

Our growing experience in different fields opens doors to the next, and we are always exploring new pathways to lend our expertise to additional industries.

Alex joined COR3 Design after completing his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Clemson University in 2025. During his studies, he developed a strong foundation in construction documentation, detailing, and design technology—skills he now applies daily to support COR3’s diverse commercial projects.
At COR3, Alex assists in creating and refining construction document sets, managing redlines, and performing due diligence to ensure design accuracy and buildability. He is proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling, contributing both technical precision and creative perspective to each project.
Originally from Greenville, Alex is half-Brazilian and fluent in Portuguese, bringing a cultural awareness and global mindset to his work. Outside the office, he enjoys hiking, woodworking, graphic design, and attending local music and community events. Alex has also been recognized on the Clemson University Dean’s List and volunteers with the KROC Center Architecture Club.
