As the technology industry has made a shift from smartphones to smart watches, to home security systems and even smart refrigerators, the concept of a smart home has become practically ubiquitous. So, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that we are on a path towards the launch of what is being called a “Smart City.” As technologically-minded architects, we were fascinated to hear this trend develop further and discover how it might impact how we design urban spaces.

In the dynamic world of architecture, the fusion of branding and design has become increasingly significant. This convergence is not just about aesthetics; it’s a strategic approach that reflects the ethos and identity of a firm or its clients.

The retail world is witnessing a significant transformation. The trend of creating “Instagram walls” – spaces within stores designed primarily for customers to take attractive social media photos – is giving way to a more traditional, yet crucial aspect of retail: exceptional customer service.

2023 was a year for the books–really, our books reflected that it was our best year yet. After being in business for a decade and some change, we have come to recognize that there is so much more than the bottom line that matters.
