Moving the Wilkins House took 8 hours

GREENVILLE, SC, September 8, 2014 - Inch by inch, the 800-ton home moved some three blocks Saturday morning. The job, which took more than eight hours — two of them just to turn onto Mills Avenue — saved the home from being demolished for an assisted living center. Guardian Centers of Georgia Begin Events

PERRY, GA, December 2012 - Guardian Centers of Georgia, the first responders training facility, held its first events this week. This company took over the old Northrup building in Perry just a year ago. The U.S. Marine unit called CBIRF, the chemical, biological instant response force, along with Georgia Search and Rescue used the different simulations for training for the last few days. The multi-million dollar facility began construction earlier this year. Guardian Centers is not at a full-capacity yet, but they say when they are they plan to have a 100 full-time employees.
